Chun Kee's Vision

Chun Kee is a family-run small business operated by Hong Kong immigrants in the UK. Many of us have experienced the challenge of finding the dried seafood, medicinal herbs, and other ingredients that were once easily accessible. Even when making special trips to Chinatown or Asian supermarkets, you might encounter several issues: limited variety, high prices, and inconsistent quality. Understandably, from a business perspective, the recent global supply chain tensions and inflation have increased costs across the board, making it difficult to find high-quality and reasonably priced products everywhere. Walking through the aisles of an Asian supermarket in Chinatown, seeing the shelves filled with familiar yet slightly different items, can evoke a cold and unfamiliar feeling. We asked ourselves if it was possible to strike a balance between variety, price, and quality. The answer is not easy.
